Route Guide
Ouarzazate to Marrakech
Crossing the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n'Tichka pass (2,260m) is one of Morocco's most spectacular journeys. The 200km trip takes about 4 to 5 hours depending on transport.

By Bus (CTM & Supratours)
The most comfortable and reliable option. Both CTM and Supratours operate modern, air-conditioned buses.
Book your ticket at least a day in advance, especially in spring and autumn. The bus makes a 20-minute rest stop halfway.
By Grand Taxi
Shared 'Grand Taxis' leave from the main taxi stand in Ouarzazate. They depart only when all 6 seats are full.
For more comfort, you can pay for two seats for yourself. It is faster than the bus but offers less legroom.
Driving Yourself
Renting a car gives you the freedom to stop at viewpoints and visit Ait Ben Haddou along the way.
⚠️ The road is fully paved and much wider than it used to be. However, it is very winding. Avoid driving at night, and be prepared for snow at the pass in deep winter (January/February).
